The Ouachita Riverfront Development Commission was established in 2011, by the Louisiana Legislature with the intent and sole purpose of focusing all its efforts on the redevelopment of our greatest asset, Ouachita River.

Our mission is to promote revitalization of the Monroe Riverfront as a green space for public enjoyment, capital investment, and encourage job creation while preserving its historic, natural and aesthetic character.
